A molecular bilayer motif constructed from a three-connected organic ligand and Cd(2+) cations: Crystal structure of [Cd(3)(trimesate)(2)center dot(H(2)O)(9)] 2H(2)O

The molecular bilayer motif reported here is formed by trimesic acid and Cd(2+). The ligand acts as a three-connected node while the metal is a simple spacer.
