Digital transformation of manufacturing

Digitalna transformacija proizvodnje podrazumijeva spremnost trgovačkog društva kojemu je osnovna djelatnost proizvodnja na promjenu načina rada i organizacije kako bi se ostvarilo poboljšanje u izvođenju poslovnih procesa, s naglaskom na poboljšanje proizvodnih i organizacijskih procesa. Pretpostavka je da se željeni procesi optimiraju prije nego što se krene u digitalizaciju istih. Jedan od načina optimizacije proizvodnih i organizacijskih procesa je korištenje alata lean menadžmenta, što je u okviru ovog rada prikazano na procesu montaže gotovih proizvoda, konkretnije aparata za točenje pića. Nakon što je proces optimiran moguće ga je digitalizirati, jer u protivnom nema dodatnih koristi od digitalizacije ako proces koji je potrebno digitalizirati nije na zadovoljavajućoj razini, jer sve vrijedne informacije koje je moguće skupiti neće imati dovoljnu vrijednost za vlasnika procesa, te se neće moći provesti kvalitetno upravljanje i planiranje procesom, ni analize koje će biti od velike koristi. Stoga je osnova prije uvođenja digitalizacije u proizvodnju optimirati procese (primjerice korištenjem lean alata) i uvođenje ERP sustava koji će omogućiti olakšano planiranje i upravljanje procesom, djelomično ga digitaliziravši (ovisno o uvjetima i zahtjevima korisnika). Nakon što su prethodna dva uvjeta zadovoljena moguće je kvalitetno digitalizirati proizvodni proces, te očekivati stvarne rezultate i koristi od istog u obliku informacija o kojima vlasnik procesa nije ni mogao imati saznanja, a koje mogu imati veliki značaj za buduće poslovanje. U okviru ovog rada prikazan je i objašnjen postupak uvođenja ERP sustava - GoSoft u trgovačko društvo Oprema d.d., konkretnije objašnjeno je planiranje i upravljanje montažnim procesom. Naknadno je opisana digitalizacija montažnog procesa, sve njene komponente te povezanost senzora s GoSoft ERP sustavom i shematski prikazan tok podataka od senzora pa natrag sve do GoSoft ERP sustava iz kojeg je prvotno i izašao. Na kraju rada prikazani su rezultati primjene lean alata i digitalizacije na montažni proces, te predložena određena poboljšanja trenutno implementiranog procesa. Digital transformation means the readiness of the organization which core business is manufacturing to change the way of doing work in order to achieve the improvement in processes, with the accent on manufacturing and organizational processes. The assumption is that the observed processes are optimized before the implementation of the digitization. One way of optimizing production and organizational processes can be done by using tools of Lean management, which is shown in this paper on the montage process of the beverage dispensers. After the optimization of the production processes it is possible to continue on with the digitization, otherwise there are no actual added benefits from digitization of the process if the process is not optimized enough. All the valuable information couldn't be collected from the unoptimized process. That is the reason why the optimization of the process and implementing the ERP system present the basis for the implementation of the digitization. After those two conditions are met (optimization of the process and implementation of the ERP system) it is advised to continue on with the digitization of the montage process which enables better planning and managing the digitized process. Final digitization of the montage process enables collecting the information which were not previously available for the owners of the process, thus giving the managers of the process great knowledge and basis for the potential future decisions. In this paper the implementation of the GoSoft ERP system in company Oprema d.d. is described, more precisely the planning and managing the montage process is presented and described. Moreover, the digitization of the montage process is described, all its components and interconnection with the GoSoft ERP system. There is also a schematic flow chart where is presented the whole path which data needs to travel from its beginning in the GoSoft ERP system, through sensors and all the way back to the GoSoft ERP system again. In the end of this paper all the results of the implementation of the lean tools, GoSoft ERP system and digitization of the montage process are presented and analysed.
