Güzelyurt’ta kaybolan bir değer; çömlekçilik el sanatı ve son Ustası Alaf Dede

Çömlekçilik en genel tanımıyla kilin, çark veya elle şekillendirildikten sonra ateşte dayanıklılık kazandırmak suretiyle pişirilip, kullanıma hazır hale getirilen üretim olarak tanımlanabilir. Çömlekçilik, ilk olarak avcı-toplayıcı hayat tarzından yerleşik hayata geçen insanoğlunun temel ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak üzere ortaya çıkmış, ilerleyen zaman içerisinde ihtiyaçtan öteye geçmiş daha sonra estetik bir öge haline gelmiştir. Çömlekçilik el sanatının/ zanaatının ham maddesi, çömlekçi çarkı, süsleme, kurutma, fırınlama ve fırın özelliklerinin yanı sıra geleneksel yapısıyla da önem arz etmektedir. Yıllardır usta-çırak ilişkisi ile öğrenilen çömlekçilik sanatı, teknolojinin gelişmesine bağlı olarak ihtiyaçların farklılaşması, yeni neslin ilgisini çekmemesi ve bu alanda yetişen çırak sayısının ihtiyaçları karşılayamaması gibi birçok nedenden ötürü unutulmaya yüz tutmuştur. Bu çalışma; Aksaray iline bağlı tarihi Güzelyurt (Gelveri) ilçesinde yaşayan son çömlek ustası Alaf Dede ve çömlekçilik el sanatı ile ilgilidir. Ayrıca Güzelyurt (Gelveri) ilçesinde yok olmaya yüz tutmuş çömlekçilik sanatının geriye kalan tek ustası Alaf Dede’nin konuyla ilgili bilgi birikimi, duygu ve düşüncelerini bir araya getirerek yazılı bir kaynak oluşturmaktır. Çalışmada tarama (survey) modeli uygulanmıştır. Konuyla ilgili literatür taraması yapılarak konunun teorik yapısı oluşturulduktan sonra araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda saha çalışması yapılmıştır. Saha çalışmasında gözlem ve görüşme teknikleri uygulanmıştır.
The most general definition of pottery is clay, which can be defined as a product which is shaped after being shaped by wheel or hand and then cooked and made ready for use. Pottery, first emerged from the hunter-gatherer lifestyle to meet the basic needs of human beings, and in later times it went beyond the need and became an ornament element by combining with aesthetic tastes. The art of potting is important with its traditional structure as well as its raw material, pottery wheel, decoration, drying, firing and kiln features. The art of potting, which has been learned with the master-apprentice relationship for many years, has been forgotten for many reasons such as the differentiation of needs due to the development of technology, the lack of attention of the new generation and the number of apprentices growing in this field. This work; It is about the last pottery master Alaf Dede and pottery handicrafts living in the historical Güzelyurt (Gelveri) district of Aksaray province. Besides, it is to create a written source by bringing together the knowledge, emotions and thoughts of Alaf Dede, the only remaining master of pottery art, which has disappeared in Güzelyurt (Gelveri) district. In this study, survey model was applied. After the literature review on the subject has been established, the theoretical structure of the subject has been established and a field study has been conducted in line with the aim of the research. Observation and interview techniques were applied in the field study.
