Abstract: The combination of UV-vis spectroscopy with a LWCC results in a higher sensitivity and allows measurements at low heavy metal concentrations. We demonstrate the utility of the LWCC for the investigation of complex formation between heavy elements and organic substances by showing the first results achieved with Eu and Am.
