Application of Kinesiotherapy and Orthopedic Aids After Stroke: Case Report

Cilj prikaza slučaja je predočiti uspješnost rehabilitacijskih postupaka kod osoba sa preboljelim moždanim udarom. Moždani udar je prvi uzročnik smrtnosti u Hrvatskoj i drugi u svijetu. Moždani udar nastaje kao posljedica poremećaja cirkulacije koja dovodi do moždanog infarkta ili moždanog krvarenja. U rehabilitaciji osoba s moždanim udarom koriste se postupci neuroplastičnosti mozga, testovi za procjenu oštećenja, kineziterapijski postupci i primjena ortotičkog tretmana. U radu je prikazan slučaj adolescenta s preboljelim moždanim udarom. Uspješno su provedeni rehabilitacijski postupci koji su rezultirali punom povratku u aktivni svakodnevni društveni život.
The aim of the case presentation is to present the success of rehabilitation procedures in people with stroke. Stroke is the first cause of death in Croatia and the second in the world. A stroke occurs as a result of a circulatory disorder that leads to a cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage. Brain neuroplasticity procedures, damage assessment tests, kinesitherapy procedures and application of orthotic treatment are used in the rehabilitation of people with stroke. The paper presents the case of an adolescent with a stroke. Rehabilitation procedures were successfully carried out, resulting in a full return to active daily social life.
