Abstract

Preschool age of children is ideal for the development and education not only in the field of physical and sports activities, but also for the development of health, eating and hygiene habits. Physical and sports activities of children of preschool and early school age are part of the general education of children. During this age skeletal and neuromuscular systems are developed, therefore, it is necessary to direct children in a proper and correct way to various forms of physical and sports activities which, at the same time, contribute to their entire growth and development. Swimming is one of the best sports for physical growth and development of children. Children should learn how to swim through playing in order to feel safe and independent, and in this way we help them to overcome fear of water, and then gradually start teaching them swimming techniques (crawl, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke).
