THE FORCE AND TIME LOAD OF THE FOOT DURING GAIT AMONG THE STUDENTS OF PHYSIOTHERAPY

Abstract

Hod kao osnovni način kretanja čovjeka oduvijek je intrigirao stručnjake. Razni povijesni zapisi i izumi to potvrđuju. Stoga je izrazito važno poznavanje anatomije i biomehanike čovjeka prilikom ispitivanja bilo kojega parametra hoda. Osnovni cilj ovoga rada je potvrditi da nema značajne razlike u sili opterećenja i vremenu opterećenja lijevoga i desnoga stopala u hodu kod studenata fizioterapije. Isto tako svrha ovoga ispitivanja je da pobudi zanimanje stručnjaka za provođenje više ispitivanja i primjene novih znanja u kliničkoj praksi. Na provedeno ispitivanje dobrovoljno se odazvalo 20 studenata fizioterapije(15 studentica i 5 studenata). Jedini faktor isključenja su bili tegobi ili zdravstveni problemi stopala. Prilikom ispitivanja u obzir nisu uzeti BMI, tjelesna aktivnosti pojedinca te svodovi stopala(normalni povišeni ili spušteni). Za ispitivanje je korišten MobileMat™ sustav. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da nema značajne razlike u sili opterećenja i vremenu opterećenja između lijevoga i desnoga stopala ispitivane skupine. Testiranjem razlike aritmetičkih sredina malih nezavisnih uzoraka utvrđeno je da je razlika slučajna, odnosno da statistički nije značajna na razini značajnosti od 5%(p>0,05). Iako nema statistički značajne razlike, na zdravlje stopala valja pripaziti. Stopala su glavna poveznica s tlom i temelj su cijeloga tijela. Promjena životnih okolnosti, aktivnosti svakodnevnog života ili tjelesne mase mogu značajno narušiti zdravstveno stanje stopala.<br />Walking as a basic way of human movement has always intrigued experts. Various historical records and inventions confirm this. Therefore, knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics is extremely important when examining any gait parameter. The main goal of this paper is to confirm that there is no significant difference in the load force and load time of the left and right foot during gait among physiotherapy students. Likewise, the purpose of this study is to trigger the interest of experts to conduct more trials and apply new knowledge in clinical practice. 20 physiotherapy students (15 female students and 5 male students) voluntarily responded to the examination. The only exclusion factor was foot discomfort or health problems. BMI, physical activity of the individual and arch of the foot (normal, elevated or lowered) were not taken into account during the examination. The MobileMat™ system was used for testing. The results of the study showed that there was no significant difference in load force and load time between the left and right foot of the examined group. By testing the difference of arithmetic means of small independent samples, it was determined that the difference is random, i.e. that it is not statistically significant at the level of significance of 5% (p> 0.05). Although there is no statistically significant difference, foot health should be monitored. The feet are the main link to the ground and are the foundation of the whole body. Changing life circumstances, daily life activities or body weight can significantly impair the health of the feet.
