Abstract

Djeca s teškoćama u razvoju imaju razna prirodna i stečena oštećenja. Undesirable behavior is considered to be all behaviors that are too pervasive and unacceptable to the environment and those behaviors that make it difficult or disable the acquisition of new skills, abilities and habits. Such behaviors are the result of underdeveloped communication, absence of social skills, and some psychological or biophysical factors. Undesirable behaviors are manifested by aggression, auto-aggression, outbreaks of anger, stereotypes, and other unwanted forms. Children with developing disabilities have various natural and acquired injuries. Each child has individual needs, personality and experience so that certain difficulties affect the individual child differently. Children with developing difficulties are late in their development, so unwanted behaviors may appear later and last a long time. We differentiate between children with visual impairment, hearing, voice-speaking communication, as well as children with intellectual, motor, multiple health problems and children with autistic spectrum disorder. Experts and families use a variety of therapeutic approaches to reduce the unwanted behavior of children with developing disabilities and facilitate their social skills, knowledge and habits. These approaches could be classified as scientifically based, scientifically unsubstantiated, and those therapeutic approaches that require further research.
