Modelo de gestión del recurso hídrico bajo lineamientos de la nueva ruralidad. estudio de caso, finca San Luis, Gambita Santander

El presente estudio de investigación se realizó en la finca San Luis del municipio de Gambita Santander, con la finalidad de proponer un modelo de gestión del recurso hídrico bajo lineamientos de la nueva ruralidad. Para ello, se identificaron 3 fases importantes (diagnostico actual de la zona, estrategias de uso sostenible y planificación). En el diagnóstico realizado se determinaron aspectos sociales, económicos y ambientales. En el aspecto social se verifico que la mayoría de la población del municipio se aloja en las zonas rurales y en cuanto a la economía, dicha población realiza actividades agropecuarias enfocadas en lo tradicional, finalmente en los aspectos ambientales, se realizaron simulaciones hidrológicas e hidráulicas para determinar el porcentaje de riesgo en cuanto a inundaciones que se pueden presentar en la finca a partir del rio Chontales, además, se ejecutó el balance hídrico mediante la metodología Soil Conservation Service para determinar el caudal ecológico y disponible en un periodo de años de 1984 hasta el 2005 y, posteriormente, se efectuó el aforo del rio para determinar la cantidad de caudal presente para la utilización en las actividades agropecuarias. En cuanto a las estrategias de uso sostenible del recurso hídrico se tuvo en cuenta las características climáticas y medioambientales de la finca San Luis y se propusieron diferentes tecnologías de almacenamiento y distribución del recurso hídrico teniendo en cuenta la conservación y protección del mismo. Finalmente, se propusieron diversas formas de realizar los cultivos agrícolas en complemento con las estrategias de uso sostenible y la reutilización del agua residual y estiércol de los animales en las actividades agrícolas para así, darle un aprovechamiento al agua. Es importante recalcar que la investigación se realizó desde un enfoque del aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales sin comprometer la estructura ecológica del ecosistema. This research study was carried out at the San Luis farm in the municipality of Gambita Santander, with the proposal to propose a water resource management model under the guidelines of the new rurality. For this, 3 important phases were identified (current diagnosis of the area, sustainable use strategies and planning). In the diagnosis made, social, economic and environmental aspects were determined. In the social aspect it was verified that the majority of the population of the municipality is housed in rural areas and as for the economy, said population carries out agricultural activities focused on the traditional, finally on environmental aspects, hydrological and hydraulic simulations are used to determine the percentage of risk in terms of floods that may occur in the farm from the Chontales river, in addition, the water balance was executed through the methodology of the Soil Conservation Service to determine the ecological flow and available over a period of years from 1984 to 2005 and, subsequently, the capacity of the river was carried out to determine the amount of flow present for use in agricultural activities. Regarding the strategies for sustainable use of the water resource, the climatic and environmental characteristics of the San Luis farm were taken into account and different technologies for storage and distribution of the water resource were proposed taking into account its conservation and protection. Finally, various ways of carrying out agricultural crops were proposed in addition to the strategies of sustainable use and the reuse of wastewater and animal manure in agricultural activities, thus giving water use.
