Avalia??o retrospectiva das principais patologias em neonatos em CAMVs

Disserta??o de Mestrado em Enfermagem Veterin?ria de Animais de Companhia apresentada na Escola Superior Agr?ria de Ponte de Lima ? na ?rea Neonatologia Veterin?ria, em geral, e da avalia??o retrospectiva das principais patologias em neonatos em CAMVs, em particular, que se desenvolve este estudo. A Neonatologia ? uma ?rea em constante crescimento e evolu??o no ?mbito da Medicina Veterin?ria. O seu estudo proporciona um aumento da taxa de sucesso neonatal, assim como a sobreviv?ncia tanto das m?es como dos neonatos. A dete??o precoce de poss?veis problemas, antes, durante ou p?s parto, ? imprescind?vel tanto para o sucesso da cria??o como para garantir a qualidade de vida dos animais. Para realizar este estudo formulou-se um question?rio online atrav?s da plataforma Google Forms a 53 inquiridos, composto por 12 quest?es, de modo a identificar as principais patologias observadas por colegas de Enfermagem Veterin?ria nos seus respetivos CAMVs. O resultado apresenta a patologia mais observada como sendo a tr?ade do Neonato, seguida da infe??o por Fiv/FeLV e em n?mero igual a Anorexia e as malforma??es cong?nitas e gen?ticas. Um dos objetivo desta disserta??o ? providenciar um guia de pesquisa r?pida ao enfermeiro veterin?rio sobre neonatologia sendo o outro avaliar a sua interven??o em contexto cl?nico na ?rea, assim como a sua opini?o sobre as patologias que mais identifica, forma??o dispon?vel, valoriza??o no meio e espectativas da ?rea nos pr?ximos anos. It is in the field of Veterinary Neonatology, in general, and the retrospective assessment of the main pathologies in neonates in CAMVs, in particular, that this study is considered. Neonatology is an area in constant growth and evolution within the scope of Veterinary Medicine. Their study provides an increase in the neonatal success rate, as well as the survival of both mothers and newborns. Early detection of possible problems, before, during or post parturition, is essential both for the success of breeding and to ensure the quality of life of the animals. To carry out this study, an online questionnaire was formulated through the Google Forms platform to 53 respondents, consisting of 12 questions, in order to identify the main pathologies observed by Veterinary Nursing colleagues in their respective CAMVs, over the period between April 2021 and August 5, 2021. The result shows the most observed pathology as the neonate triad, followed by Fiv/FeLV infection and in equal numbers to Anorexia and congenital and genetic malformations. One of the objectives of this dissertation is to provide a quick research guide to veterinary nurses on neonatology and the other being to evaluate their intervention in a clinical context in the area, as well as their opinion on the pathologies that they most identify, training available, appreciation in the environment and expectations of the area in the coming years.
