Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is creating an extremely strong impact in different spheres of life. Issues that are insufficiently addressed during a pandemic crisis can lead to the disruption of communication channels with citizens, as well as to an impact on the expected adherence of the population to the indications they must follow, which is related to information management. This is a particularly complex issue in an era of information explosion that the World Health Organization has characterized as an "infodemic." In the current health situation, strategies and standards for information management published in recent years were used, which made it possible to strengthen their quality, confidentiality and security, based on the policy of data management in health institutions in the context of COVID-19. This thesis deals with the topic of the importance of information management during the COVID-19 pandemic, in which the importance of information in the process of managing crisis situations, the flow of information and distinguishing information from misinformation is presented. A quantitative research was conducted in which an attempt was made to confirm the hypothesis that the lack of information or the fear of getting sick from COVID-19 affects the positive attitude of young people towards the measures of the headquarters due to the lack of information and that the saturation of information through the media affects the negative attitude of young people towards the decisions of the headquarters.
