Abstract
- Papirnati mikrofluidički senzori predstavljaju inovativnu tehnologiju za manipulaciju malih volumena uzoraka i detekciju razičitih vrsta analta. Cilj je takve tehnologije pružiti jeftine, bio-razgradive, lako prenosive uređaje, neovisne o skupoj instrumentaciji, a kojma će moći rukovati i needucirano osoblje. Cilj je ovog rada staviti papirnate mikrofluidičke senzore u širi kontekst mikrofluidičkih uređaja, dati pregled prednosti i mana takve tehnologije, opisati najčešće korištene metode izrade papirnatih mikrofluidičkih uređaja kao i metode detekcije analita. Velik je dio rada posvećen bitnoj skupini takvih senzora, papirnatim mikrofluidičkim biosenzorima te njihovoj podskupini, papirnatim mikrofluidičkim enzimskim biosenzorima. Rad također obrađuje područja primjene te nove tehnologije i zapreke koje bi ona trebala prevladati kako bi iz laboratorija prešla u komercijalnu upotrebu. Paper based microfluidic sensors represent an innovative technology for handling small volumes of samples and analysis of different types of analytes. The goal of this technology is to provide devices that are inexpensive, biodegradable, portable, independent of expensive equipment and that can be handled by untrained personnel. The aim of this thesis is to place paper microfluidic sensors in the wider context of microfluidic devices, discuss their advantages and disadvantages, describe the methods for their production as well as the methods for analyte detection. A considerable part of the thesis is dedicated to an important group of such sensors, paper microfluidic biosensors and their subgroup, paper microfluidic enzyme biosensors. The thesis also focuses on highlighting new technologies in the field of paper microfluidics as well as on the obstacles this technology needs to surpass in order to step out of the laboratory and becomes widely used.
