Altyapının gelişmekte olan ekonomilerdeki ekonomik büyümeye etkisi = [Impact of infrastructure on economic growth in developing countries case study : Kashmir]

Bu araştırma, altyapı ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktadır. Gelişmekte olan ülkelerde ekonomik büyüme önemli bir hedeftir ve bu nedenle bu ilişkiyi ölçmek önemli bir araştırma alanıdır. Bu tezde, bu ilişkinin genel bir eğilimi -özellikle gelişmekte olan ülkeler bağlamında- tahmin edilmektedir. Örnek olarak Keşmir ekonomisi incelenmiştir. 2000-2017 yılları arasındaki veri seti alınmıştır. Girişler olarak yollar, ulaşım, elektrik üretimi, sağlık kurumları ve benzer çeşitli altyapı değişkenleri kullanılmaktadır. Büyüme faktörü olarak Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla (GSYİH) kullanılmaktadır. Korelasyon, korelasyon matrisi ile kurulmakta ve daha sonra regresyon analizi yapılmaktadır. Ayrıca sonuçlara göre Keşmir ekonomisi için bazı politika sonuçları ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışma, aynı zamanda bölge temelli çalışmalara ve bunun sonucunda da bölge temelli durumlarda mantıklı olacak uygulama programlarına duyulan ihtiyacı ortaya koymaktadır. Bu amaçla, çalışma uygulamalı ülke ve bölgeye dayalı durumlarda ampirik sonuçların uygulanabileceği bir politika uygulama çerçevesi geliştirmektedir. Örnek olarak Keşmir ekonomisinden elde edilen ampirik sonuçlar da politika uygulama çerçevesi yoluyla filtrelenmektedir. Bu Çalışmada Keşmir'de altyapının ekonomik büyüme üzerinde olumlu bir etkisi olduğunu öne sürmektedir.--------------------This research delineates a relationship between infrastructure improvement and economic growth. In developing countries, economic growth is an essential goal and to gauge this relationship, therefore, is an essential area of research. In this paper, a general trend of this relationship is extrapolated particularly in the context of the developing countries. As a case study, the economy of Kashmir is also studied. The data set from the years 2000-2017 is taken. Various infrastructure variables like roads, transport, electricity generation, medical institutions, and others are used as inputs. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is used as a growth factor. The correlation is established through the correlation matrix and subsequently, a regression analysis is carried out. Further based on the results some policy implications for the Kashmir economy are made. This paper also establishes the need for region-based studies and as a result, implementation programs that would make sense in region-based situations. For that purpose, the study develops a policy implication framework based on which the empirical results can be applied in practical country and region-based situations. As an example, the empirical results from the Kashmir economy is also filtered through the policy implication framework. The study hypothesizes that there is a positive impact of infrastructure on economic growth in Kashmir.
