Mentoring como herramienta de motivación en la investigación científica

Addressing the topic of scientific research today is of great relevance since it is part of the backbone of professional training, to carry it out, we can use mentoring as a tool to motivate and drive to strengthen scientific research. This research set out the following objectives: to determine the relationship between mentoring as a motivational tool and scientific research and to understand the experiences of Norbert Wiener University teachers in the mentoring process to develop as researchers, a mixed approach, Descriptive correlational concurrent design. The sample was made up of teachers from the aforementioned institution, for data collection two questionnaires and a semi-structured interview were used, for data treatment the SPSS version 23 and Atlas ti version 7 software were used. between mentoring as a motivational tool and scientific research at the Norbert Wiener Private University. In relation to the experiences of the teachers interviewed, three main categories were obtained: The limitations to apply the Mentoring, from which the subcategories were obtained: Time, Investigative Policies, Economic Resources and infrastructure; the second category was Work teams as a strategy to develop research from which the subcategories emerged: multidisciplinary and Research networks at national and international level and finally the category The mentor profile, from which emerged: Research competencies, soft skills and commitment. Abordar el tema de investigación científica en la actualidad es de gran relevancia dado que es parte de la columna vertebral de la formación de profesionales, para llevarla a cabo, podemos recurrir al mentoring como herramienta para motivar e impulsar a fortalecer la investigación científica. La presente investigación se planteó los siguientes objetivos: determinar la relación que existe entre el mentoring como herramienta de motivación y la investigación científica y comprender las experiencias de los docentes de la Universidad Norbert Wiener en el proceso de mentoring para desarrollarse como investigadores, enfoque mixto, diseño concurrente descriptivo correlacional. La muestra la constituyeron los docentes de la mencionada institución, para la recolección de datos se utilizaron dos cuestionarios y una entrevista semiestructurada, para el tratamiento de datos se utilizaron los softwares SPSS versión 23 y Atlas ti versión 7. Se obtuvo como resultado que existe relación entre el mentoring como herramienta de motivación y la investigación científica en la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener. Con relación a las experiencias de los docentes entrevistados se obtuvieron tres grandes categorías: Las limitaciones para aplicar el Mentoring de la cual se obtuvieron las subcategorías: Tiempo, Polìticas Investigativas, Recursos Económicos e infraestructura; la segunda categoría fue Equipos de trabajo como estrategia para desarrollar investigación de la cual surgieron las subcategorías: multidisciplinarios y redes de Investigación a nivel nacional e internacional y por último la categoría El perfil del mentor, del cual emergieron: competencias en Investigación, habilidades blandas y compromiso.
