Social representations of gender constructed by media programs for children

El siguiente documento da cuenta de un ejercicio investigativo sobre infancia y representaciones sociales de género en programas de televisión infantil realizado con niños y niñas de primer grado del colegio La Candelaria; cuyo objetivo principal es reconocer las representaciones sociales de género en torno al consumo de tres programas infantiles. Esta investigación se sirve de tres ejes temáticos: Género, Infancia y representaciones sociales; a los cuales se vincula el consumo cultural infantil; utilizando como componente metodológico las narrativas y el análisis de las RS. The following document gives an account of a research on childhood and social representations of gender in children's TV shows, developed with children of the first grade of La Candelaria school; which main objective is to recognize the Social Representations of gender around the consumption of three children’s TV shows. This research uses three thematic axes: Gender, Childhood and Social Representations; to which the cultural consumption of children is linked; using the narrative and the analysis of SR as a methodological component.
