How the mind understands Russia: the results of the free associative test for the stimulus Russia

Автор статьи анализирует результаты психолингвистического эксперимента по выявлению специфики языковой картины мира у носителей русского языка на территории Беларуси. В исследовании приняло участие 1300 человек в возрасте 17–20 лет. Цель статьи – показать, как в языковом сознании молодых людей отображено то, что называется «Россией». Метод исследования – свободный ассоциативный тест. Самыми частотными являются 3 реакции: «СНГ» (составляет 14.5%); реакция «присоединение» (доля употребления составляет 7%); «падение» (о валюте) (6% реакций). После обработки полученных данных автор приходит к выводу о том, что на появление реакции и её тип влияют: 1) политическая ангажированность; 2) экономическая составляющая знаний о жизни; 3) знания о географических и климатических условиях проживания (Россия как территория проживания). = The author of the article analyzes the results of a psycholinguistic experiment to identify the specifics of the linguistic picture of the world among native speakers of the Russian language in Belarus. The study involved 1300 people aged 17–20 years. The purpose of the article is to show how what is called “Russia” is displayed in the linguistic consciousness of young people. The research method is a free associative test. The most frequent are 3 reactions: “CIS” (is 14.5%); reaction “joining” (the share of use is 7%); “falling” (about currency) (6% of reactions). After processing the data obtained, the author comes to the conclusion that the appearance of the reaction and its type are influenced by: 1) political engagement; 2) the economic component of knowledge about life; 3) knowledge about geographical and climatic conditions of residence (Russia as the territory of residence).
