Komunikatīvā pieeja angļu valodas mācīšanā un studentu motivācija

Motivācijai ir nozīmīga loma visās cilvēka dzīves sfērās un tai ir ietekme uz visu, ko cilvēki dara. Motivācija mācīties tiek uzskatīta par vienu no svarīgākajiem svešvalodu mācīšanās un apmācības procesa jautājumiem, tāpēc ir svarīgi, lai skolotājiem būtu iemaņas un zināšanas visās motivācijas stratēģijās vai tehnikās, kuras palīdz motivēt studentus mācīties svešvalodas. Šī darba galvenā ideja ir uzsvērt dažādas motivācijas stratēģijas un komunikācijas darbības, kuras var palīdzēt studentam attīstīt komunikācijas spējas un iedrošināt tā motivāciju, kā arī veicināt valodu mācīšanos ar komunikatīvās pieejas pielietošanas palīdzību. Skolotājiem ir jāatklāj tādas aktivitātes, kuras studentiem būtu nozīmīgas un vērtīgas, ņemot vērā to, kam viņi dod priekšroku, viņu personiskās vajadzības, vēlmes un cerības. Darba autore uzskata, ka galvenais mērķis, mācoties svešvalodas, ir komunikācijas spēju attīstīšana, citiem vārdiem sakot, padarīt studentus spējīgus komunicēt svešvalodās. Darba autore uzsver to, ka komunikācija nav mērķis tikai pati par sevi, tā ir arī svarīgs līdzeklis veiksmīgai praktiskajai svešvalodas lietošanai un tai ir liela izglītojoša vērtība. Tāpēc autore uzskata, ka komunikatīvās pieejas pielietošana ir vislabākais veids kā attīstīt studentu komunikācijas spējas un vēlmi studēt svešvalodas. Komunikatīvā pieeja nodrošina komunikācijas darbības, kuras iesaista studentus daudzās nozīmīgās, reālajai dzīvei līdzīgās situācijās un skar interesantas tēmas, tādējādi motivējot studentus mācīties svešvalodas. Motivation plays a significant role in all spheres of human life and has its impact on whatever people are doing. Motivation to learn is considered to be one of the key issues in the process of learning and teaching a foreign language, therefore it is crucially important for teachers to have skills and apply all the motivational strategies and techniques which help to motivate their students to learn the foreign language. The main idea of the present Paper is to highlight different motivational strategies and communicative activities that can assist students in developing their communicative abilities and enhancing their motivation as well as to facilitate language learning with the help of the application of the Communicative Approach. The teacher should find such activities that would be meaningful and valuable for the students, taking into consideration their preferences and personal needs, desires and expectations. The author of the Paper believes that the main goal in learning a foreign language is the development of communicative abilities, in other words to teach students to communicate in the foreign language. The author of the present paper emphasizes that communication is not only the aim in itself; it is also an important means of successful practicing a foreign language and is of great educational value. Therefore, she considers that application of the Communicative Approach is the best way to develop students’ communicative abilities and willingness to study the foreign language. The Communicative Approach provides communicative activities that involve students in a range of meaningful, real-life situations and interesting topics, therefore, it motivates students for learning the foreign language.
