Abstract

This thesis is focused on the concept of education in Aristotle's Politics. The research is how the music affects human in education and why is it so important for him. With primary and secondary literature it works with the main values and characteristics of the music, then explains relations between the music and other education subjects, it also makes clear the concept of beatitudo, welfare, scholé etc. The aim of this thesis is to understand, why is the music so irreplaceable in education. Attention is also paid to the theoretical pedagogical schedule of education at Aristotle, which is then compared with his teacher, Plato. KEYWORDS music, education, philosophy, politics
