Annotated tran-2017slation: Journalism of Tim Lott - selection from The Guardian 2012-2017

This thesis aims to translate ten selected columns by Tim Lott from English into Czech. The columns were published in The Guardian from 2012 to 2017 and they deal with family life and society. The second part of this thesis provides a commentary comprising of the analysis of the source text, description of the selected method of translation, typology of translation problems and translation shifts which occurred during the translation process.
