Abstract

The main theme of this bachelor's thesis is the purpose of rhythmic-movement education of children with hearing impairment. It deals with a new quality which develops through the connection of music and movement. This connection makes music accessible to people with different hearing impairment and engaging body into musical activities enhances the experience of perceiving music. The theoretical part focuses on the issue of hearing impairment and possibilities of hearing prosthetics. It introduces the specifics of child with hearing impairment development, the way of their communication and education. The thesis also mentions the influence of music, movement and its connection on a person. The practical part covers the musical and movement activities carried out at four pre-school institutions two specialised pre-schools for children with hearing impairment and two ordinary pre-schools integrating children with hearing impairment. Based on the acquired information and specialised literature a series of rhythmic-movement activities was created which was implemented by the author.
