Abstract
- This paper addresses how differences in loading and bedding affect the performance of trenched and trenchless portions of grouted and ungrouted sliplined pipes. It covers HDPE, PVC and reinforced fiberglass liner pipe materials. It compares trenchless and trenched portions of the liner pipe in terms of loading, responses to load, effect of bedding and service life. It defines a critical length for the trenched portion in which joints should be avoided, and a practical formula is proposed for determining the critical length.<br />International No-Dig 2003 Conference, March 31, 2003, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
