Czech is on journey westward into German

Eine kultursprachliche Analyse mit dem Thema der Sprachkontaktforschung zum Einfluss der tschechischen Sprache auf das Deutsche früher und heute. Wanderung einer mitteleuropäischen Kultursprache im direkten Sprachkontakt Mitteleuropas als langsames Eindringen der Sprache eines kleinen Volkes beim großen westlich-nördlichen Nachbarn. Differenzierung des Wortschatzes nach bestimmten Gruppen, aktuelle Beispiele aus den Medien, hybride Wortbildungen (Čojč, Čaf). Ausblick: Tschechisch im Aufschwung? Tschechisch tatsächlich unterwegs? Tschechische Sprache als Angebot für deutschsprachige Grenzländer. The contribution concentrates on the cultural and linguistic analysis concerning the topic of mutual language contacts and researches the effect of the Czech language on the German language in the past and present. It also shows the migration of one Central European language in the linguistic context of Central Europe as the slow infiltration of the language of a small nation into the great north-western neighbour. The author focuses on the vocabulary differentiation of certain groups, current examples from the media and the word hybrid formations (Čojč, ČaF). The paper solves the questions: Is the Czech language on the rise? Is the migration of the Czech language real? The Czech language is offered as the language of communication for the German-speaking borderlands.
