Economic financial analysis Valencia CF vs FC Barcelona

Treball Final de Grau en Finances i Comptabilitat. Codi: FC1049. Curs: 2017/2018 The present Final Degree Project consists of analyzing and comparing the economic-financial state of two great 1st division Spanish football teams, as Valencia CF and FC Barcelona are. First of all, the concept of Football Clubs will be introduced, perceiving them as companies, and explaining the main characteristics and disadvantages of Sports Public Limited Companies (SPLC1) versus Sports Associations (SA). The economic-financial analysis of the two Clubs will continue. For this purpose, the financial statements are prepared and the different balance sheet and profit and loss account ratios for the years between the years ended on 30/06/14 and 30/06/17 will be calculated. Finally, after the analysis and comparison of the results between both Clubs, the conclusions will be collected with the most relevant data of the study. All the amounts that appear in the work are represented in thousands of euros.
