Islamic finance: complement or alternative

Treball Final de Grau en Finances i Comptabilitat. Codi: FC1049. Curs: 2017/2018 The present work intends to analyse if the Islamic Bank is an alternative or complementary approach to the traditional Banks and the challenges that lie ahead. First, we will make an approximation to the current situation of Islamic finance in order to describe the Islamic finance history and what are its fundamental principles. Then we will present the different financial instruments that meet those principles, to finally address the challenges and opportunities that Islamic Finance represents.
