Abstract: This contribution describes the white patch disease (CWPD) on coralline red algae (Rhodophyta, Corallinophycideae), observed for the first time in a rhodolith bed (aggregates of nodules of unattached growth forms of non-geniculate calcareous red algae) of the Aegadian Islands during the summer of 2016.
