Abstract

Thesis (PhD(Electrical and Information Engineering))--University of South Australia, 2018. Includes bibliographical references (pages 139-144) This thesis presents a new approach and a modelling tool to address challenging problems dealing with System Integration Technical Risk (SITR) assessment modelling at early stages of system development life cycle from a system’s engineering perspective. The proposed approach and developed modelling tool are applicable in the risk management domain providing system integration quantitative risk assessment under uncertainty at the phase of software intensive systems design. The core contribution of this dissertation is the development of a risk assessment practical modelling tool and the methodology for its use, that fills a gap in a critical area of systems engineering.
