Marina Abramović, dimensions of guilt: The body of the sacred life

Marina Abramović, no ano de 1974, apresenta Rhythm 0, performance em que se encontra sujeita a toda espécie de violência. Este artigo tem por objetivo investigar as dimensões de um corpo presumido culpado e, para tanto, recorre-se ao conceito agambeniano de homo sacer - figura do direito romano arcaico portadora da vida nua, vida sacra -, cuja particularidade deve-se a um duplo cárater: insacrificável e, porém, matável. This article has for objective to investigate the dimensions of a body presumed guilty and, for so much, refers to the concept of homo sacer of Agamben - figure of the right archaic roman bearer of the nude life, sacred life - whose particularity is due to a double character: cannot be sacrificed yet may, nevertheless, be killed.
