Ziel dieser Arbeit war zum einen, das Prostatakarzinomvolumen (PC-Vol.) auf seine Unabhängigkeit als prognostischer Parameter (PP) zu prüfen, zum anderen die Erstellung eines neuen Risikoklassifikationssystems anhand des PC-Vol.. Obwohl sich in den univariaten Analysen eine deutliche Korrelation zwischen dem PC-Vol. und den gängigen Prognosefaktoren zeigte, war das PC-Vol. in der multivariaten Analyse (MA) kein unabhängiger PP hinsichtlich eines PSA-Progresses.
