Effect of low-dose PDT on the perfusion of the choriocapillaris in patients with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (cCSCR) in OCT-angiography

Bei Patienten mit chronischer Chorioretinopathia centralis serosa (cCRCS) soll die „low-dose photodynamische Therapie“ (PDT) über eine kurzfristige choriokapilläre Minderperfusion zu einer langfristigen Reduktion der Leckage führen. In dieser Arbeit konnte jedoch mittels optischer Kohärenztomographie-Angiographie (OCT-A) gezeigt werden, dass ein verminderter Blutfluss im Bereich der Choriokapillaris bestehen bleibt. In patients with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (cCSCR), it is assumed that low-dose photodynamic therapy (PDT) induces short-term hypoperfusion of the choriocapillaris, which leads to a long-term reduction of leakage. In this work, using optical coherence tomography-angiography (OCT-A), it could be shown however, that at the choriocapillaris level, reduced blood flow persists.
