Abstract

The highlight of this issue are the results of the Seventh Annual College Royal competitions. This issue begins with a photograph of the entry to Macdonald Hall. Agricultural articles pertain to the Beautifying Canada campaign, Ontario's farm loan system, the profitability of farming in the Holland Marsh, and the success of the second year of the short course for ice cream makers. The campus news provides updates on current political events, the O. A. C. debate regarding the nationalization of radio, and the Philharmonic Society's production of "The Gondoliers". The Macdonald Institute column reports their dietary exhibit at the College Royal, residence life at Mac Hall, and a ju-jitsu demonstration provided by an instructor for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
