Abstract

International audience; In a recent article, Kwon, Nam, and Lee (2015) did not replicate the influence of syllable orthographic frequency on the inhibitory syllable frequency effect. Two reasons can account for this result. First, parsing syllables is not difficult in Hangul. Second, the pronunciation of the first syllable of the word stimulus was likely ambiguous.
