Abstract
- Measurements on the production of electroweak boson pairs at the LHC provide an important test of the predictions of the electroweak sector of the Standard Model, and allow precise measurements of the Triple Gauge Couplings vertices probing for possible new phenomena involving gauge bosons. ATLAS has studied diboson production processes involving all combinations of W, Z and isolated photons, providing total and fiducial cross sections. The Wγ, Zγ, WW, WZ and ZZ processes were also used to provide new constraints on the triple-gauge couplings. We concentrate on the WZ and ZZ production measurements, both performed using leptonic decay channels since they are the cleanest signatures of these processes. The latest ATLAS results on dibosons are presented using data collected at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV.
