Abstract

Integral design shows high promises to reduce failure costs and to improve design quality. In the ongoing workshop series, in which already over 200 professionals from the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects (BNA) and the Dutch Association of Consulting Engineers (ONRI) participated, integral design methodology in the domain of sustainable comfort systems is currently developed and evaluated. The application of sustainable energy in the built environment is stimulated through morphological approach that enhances creation of new solutions for sustainable concepts. The results of the last ‘Integral Design Methodology’ workshop series, based on observations of both professionals and students, are presented in this paper.
