Racial equality in Japanese Asianism in the 1930s : take the Kansai's Eastern Cultural Alliance as an example

Abstract

The Eastern Cultural Alliance founded in Osaka in 1931, is an important Asianist group in the Kansai region. ECA was founded by Shimizu Ginzo with businessmen and journalists from kansai. This paper is based on the journal of ECA, focusing on the issue of racial equality in the Asianism of the ECA. Mainly discusses the activities of The Indian independence movement Rash Behari Bose and his influence in the ECA, and the views and practices of the core members of the ECA on racial equality.Through this study, the relationship between Bose and the Alliance is clarified, and the research topic of the author about the ECA is improved.<br />内田慶市教授古稀記念号
