Abstract
- A technique is described for the treatment of patients in acute liver failure by perfusing their blood through an isolated pig liver. The circuit is arranged so as to allow good function of the perfused liver, irrespective of the condition of the patient or the blood-flow from his arterial cannula. of 3 patients so treated, 2 are alive and well.
