Abstract
- A novel method for the synthesis of composite nanomaterials is suggested. Glassy carbon–metal (Au, Ag) composite materials are obtained in which the carbon matrix contains mesopores and metals are present in the form of nanoparticles distributed over the matrix. The sizes of nanoparticles are 10 and 23 nm for Au and Ag, respectively, while the specific surface area of the pores of materials ranges from 25 to 300 m2/g. A surprisingly high magnetic susceptibility of Au and Ag composites is revealed. © 2015, (publisher). All rights reserved.
