Clinical aspects and therapy of early gastric cancer

In the last 10 years, 130 patients with early gastric carcinoma were operated on at the Surgical University Clinic of Erlangen. The ulcerous type was the most frequent (85%) and had the best prognosis with a 5-year survival rate of 87% excluding operative mortality, and 100% when agecorrected.
