Abstract
- Precipitation of sulfur from acetone solution after heating at 50 °C in the presence of (NH4)2Mo2S12 leads to the formation of hollow microtubules (L = 5−100 μm, d = 100−400 nm). The walls of the tubes (ca. 10 nm) consist of S8 molecules, the surface layer being enriched with molybdenum sulfide species
