Temporal propagation characteristics of simulation tree considering growth probability

Abstract

In general, it is difficult to analyze real electrical trees three-dimensionally. However, with the development of computer systems, the spatial structures of discharge patterns, which include electrical trees, have been analyzed using a computer simulation. However, the temporal propagation characteristics of simulation trees on the tree growth characteristics are not clear. In this study, we developed the three-dimensional numerical simulation model of the electrical tree pattern considering the growth probability under the Laplace field. Using this numerical simulation model, we obtained the temporal simulation tree shape, such as branch-type and bush-type trees, and considered the relationship between the temporal simulation tree and the real electrical tree. The results show that the temporal characteristics of simulation trees are similar to the temporal characteristics of real electrical tree propagation.
