Abstract
- Tuberculosis (TB) of the genital tract is uncommon in the developed world. Cervical tuberculosis accounts for 0.1 - 0.65% of all cases of tuberculosis and 5 -24% of genital tract TB. More frequently TB will affect the upper genital tract - the fallopian tubes and endometrium and this is more common in the child-bearing age group (Lamba et al. 2002). We present here a case of a young woman who presented to the colposcopy combined gynaeendocrine and the infertility units of our hospital. (excerpt)
