Abstract
- The results obtained with freshly prepared solutions indicate that ferric ions may be adsorbed by Whatman No. 1 filter paper by a process of ion exchange. However, on standing the system becomes complicated by the diverse nature of the hydrolysis products formed. Increased adsorption takes place, apparently through the retention of hydroxy compounds of lower net charge.
