Abstract
- This paper investigates the noise and vibration behavior of two electrical machines dedicated for the propulsion of a light electric vehicle (L-EV). The L-EV is actually a special scooter, and it is equipped with a DC motor excited with permanent magnets. The authors are proposing a second motor, a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) which satisfies the application's demands. The both motors will be evaluated in terms of noise and vibrations to see which one is best suited for the L-EV.
