Colloid Cyst of the Third Ventricle Presenting as a Ringenhancing Lesion on Computed Tomography

We report a patient with a colloid cyst of the 3rd ventricle. The computed tomographic scan demonstrated a ringenhancing lesion rather than the classically described homogeneous hyperdense lesion. A brief review of the literature and theoretical explanations for this case are presented.
