Abstract

How does social order come into place? How is it stabilized and how is it changed? These are the guiding questions of the educational governance perspective. The chapter at hand explains its central concepts and their relevance for educational research. In a second step relationships between the educational governance perspective and organisational education are discussed. Since it focuses on issues of cross-border coordination between multiple actors the governance perspective may clarify important conditions of organisational learning, while it may take advantage of the concepts of organisational education for its understanding of the social meso level and its dynamics.
