Abstract

Arvicola terrestris (Linnaeus, 1758) Type locality: Upsala, Sweden. Notes: Moderately large aquatic voles with a skull showing “a decided tendency to assume a fossorial structure.” “[H] abits both aquatic and mole-like” (Miller 1912).
