Abstract
- Seven new cases and follow-up data on two previously reported cases of congenital cystic dilatation of the common duct are presented. All known five year survivors are also reviewed as well as all those known to have had complications after choledochocystoduodenostomy, loop choledochocystojejunostomy, or Roux-en-Y choledochocystojejunostomy. The long-term morbidity of choledochocystoduodenostomy is about 65 per cent. A Roux-en-Y choledochocystojejunostomy with concomitant cholecystectomy is recommended.
