Genetic counseling: using the information wisely

For all the high-tech, “high-science” diagnostic methods we increasingly rely on, we are not dealing with biotechnology per se but with its impact on human beings. The breakthroughs in genetic diagnosis are providing us with far more information than we could have dreamed of even 30 years ago, but the problem of how best to use that information remains difficult and elusive.
