Abstract

2 A 25-year-old Caucasian nulliparous woman had right iliac ossa pain and dysuria that started approximately 10 months efore admission to our hospital. Bimanual examination reealed a palpable mass in the right parametrium that deviated he uterus to the left. Ultrasonographic examination revealed he presence of a solid mass (13.5 cm in diameter) with the chogenic characteristics of a leiomyoma. The most probable iagnosis was a pedunculated leiomyoma, and laparoscopic urgical intervention was proposed without preoperative gonaotropin-releasing hormone agonist treatment.
