World distribution. Chile. Chilean distribution. Only recorded from Los R��os region (Fig. 70). Altitudinal range. This species mainly inhabits native forests in coastal areas between 5 and 50 m. a.s.l. Biology and notes. Cepa simonettii is a species associated with the Valdivian evergreen forest. Other biological and ecological aspects of this species are unknown. Conservation status. DD; AOO = 2 km 2 and one locality (or subpopulation). Genus Eumerus Meigen, 1822 Eumerus Meigen, 1822: 202. Type-species, Syrphus tricolor Fabricius (Curtis, 1839: 749). Genus-group name conserved by ICZN (1993, Opinion 1747). Refs.
