Abstract

Graphical abstract<br />Highlights • Intracardiac blood cyst is a rare congenital abnormality that can be found in adults. • It is most commonly attached in the valves, particularly the mitral valve. • Echocardiography is the imaging modality of choice for the diagnosis of blood cyst. • Cardiac MRI contributes to the diagnosis, typically showing absence of cyst enhancement. • Conservative management is reasonable in the absence of effects on cardiac function.
